Ride on the correct side of the road or in bike lane at all times

1. Check your tires for the correct air pressure. Be sure to use the recommended tire pressure indicated on the sidewall of the tires.

2. Make sure rubber is in good condition; no cracks or bulges in the sidewalls of your tires.

3. Check for loose spokes, lug nuts, or quick release levers. If you locate any loose fasteners be sure to tighten them.

4. Make sure your brake cables are not bound up/twisted and that both are in proper working order.

5. Make sure that your shift levers and de-railer are operating correctly.

6. Lubricate the chain once a month with approved chain lubricant (DO NOT use WD-40 or any type of penetrating oil on any parts of your bike!).

7. Check that your headlight and taillight are in good working order.

8. Wear all safety gear - helmet, gloves, marker lights.

9. Ride on the correct side of the road or in bike lane at all times.

10. Obey all traffic laws and do not ride at night without reflective equipment.
